Up and down and everybody is well! That is very good news.

Now everybody is talking about food and eating lots, not just Elif. Hey, I am at sea level in Canada and even I miss Turkish food.

Have a good trip home.

Hi All!!!

Do you remember your friend David from Khan Tengri in 2003.  Glad to see that I'm not the only one who summited Everest after the Khan Tengri festival.  Congrats to you all and Freysi says hi :)  (i almost bumped into him a month ago when i was in iceland.)

Congratulations to all members of your team, both those who had the good fortune to summit and those who had the inner strength, wisdom, and courage to turn around rather than risk hurting themselves or friends they care for. Sometimes not summitting is more difficult, and shows better mountaineering skill and judgement, than getting to the top. I am so happy that you are all well.

I am surprised that there was no mention of Elif eating after she returned to ABC, just drinking. She must have been very tired indeed to forego a meal! Perhaps she is saving some space for a good trout and raki dinner. She will surely be toasted as the first Turkish woman to summit Everest! Serefe to everybody!

You made it! Way to go! Get home safe ... all of you. Soon you will hopefully be setting up ropes on a beach somewhere climbing the top of a sandcastle.

Merhaba arkadashlarim Kanaden,

Reading through your postings it sounds like you are all doing well, that things are going according to plan, and that you are staying healthy. Keep it up!

Your team approach, all roped up, reminds me of your approach to the Aladaglar when we were there in November. May it work as well on Sagarmatha.

Keep those helmets on! When we Canadians go down to the USA to climb, we are the only ones wearing helmets and everybody acts like we are fools. They tell us that it is a granite cliff, no danger of falling rock. Then someone's carabiner goes zinging by your head from the route next to yours and you are damn happy to be wearing a lid. SO KEEP THE LIDS ON NO MATTER WHAT THE CLOWNS SAY! IT JUST PROVES THAT YOU HAVE MORE BRAINS TO PROTECT THAN THE IDIOTS WITHOUT THEM!

Hey, stay out of the beer above base camp.

Cheers,

Michael
